Each year, Expansion International brings together sponsored students for a time of growth, faith, and leadership. This year’s gathering was one of the most impactful yet. 215 young leaders gathered this April for the 13th Annual Student Leadership Conference, a four‑day experience that inspired and transformed hearts under the theme “Multiply What You Have Been Given” (Matthew 25:14-30).

From the moment students arrived, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and purpose. Sponsored high school students from seven communities joined alumni, mentors, and friends of Expansion International for a time of spiritual renewal, leadership training, and personal growth. Each session built on the message that every gift, talent, and opportunity is meant to be used faithfully for God’s glory.

Growing in Mindset and Purpose

The conference began with a powerful call to move beyond limitation and embrace a growth mindset rooted in faith. Students were reminded that “God has already placed what you need in your hands,” inspiring them to use their gifts with courage and confidence. That message was followed with a heartfelt session on identity, truth, and purpose, helping students see themselves as uniquely created and deeply loved by God. The time brought healing and hope, encouraging them to reject negative labels and walk boldly in their God‑given identity.

Building on that foundation, students discovered how discipline and character turn potential into lasting impact. They were challenged to steward their gifts wisely, including their finances, through saving, planning, and generosity, learning that faithful stewardship is part of multiplying what God has entrusted to them.

Faith in Action

The conference culminated in a powerful Sunday sermon on “Commanding Exploits” from Daniel 11:32. The message stirred hearts, and 30 students made the life‑changing decision to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior, a profound highlight of the weekend.

The celebration continued with Talent Night, where students shared songs, poetry, and drama, expressing creativity and connection in a joyful community. As the final day came to a close, hearts were full and spirits renewed. Students left equipped with leadership skills, strengthened faith, and a clear sense of purpose, ready to multiply what they’ve been given in their families, schools, and communities.

The Annual Student Leadership Conference continues to create a ripple effect of transformation: stronger faith, deeper mentorship, and lives changed through the love of Jesus Christ.Thank you for your ongoing support that allows programs like this to thrive.
