Building Strong Foundations: Celebrating 20 New TUYEP Graduates

When driven young people are given the tools, faith, and support to succeed, true transformation happens. We’re so excited to celebrate 20 inspiring young adults who recently graduated from the 9th cohort of the Tujijenge Youth Empowerment Program (TUYEP), which helps students navigate life after high school.

Your support made their three-month journey possible, a season marked by growing resilience, new practical skills, and a deeper faith.

Building a Strong Foundation

This TUYEP cohort brought together 20 eager students ready to learn, grow, and build a brighter future. Every morning, class began with Bible study, offering a quiet space to reflect on Scripture, encourage one another, and ground their ambitions in faith.

Alongside their spiritual growth, the students completed practical training to prepare them for higher education and the modern job market:

• Digital Literacy: Equipping students to navigate essential technology with confidence.

• Life & Business Skills: Instilling practical discipline, problem-solving, and foundational financial literacy.

• Community Service: Putting faith into action through a hands-on day at the Small Home for the Disabled- cooking, cleaning, and sharing joy with children of all abilities.

A Celebration of Growth in Subukia

The graduation ceremony gathered 180 guests, including families, staff, alumni, and community leaders. Local administration officials praised the program's impact, noting a visible difference in character, confidence, and purpose among TUYEP participants compared to their peers.

Centering on the theme “Working with God” (inspired by Isaiah 43), graduates were urged to stay resilient, trust in God, and use their new skills to pursue further education. The day ended with proud smiles as all 20 graduates stepped up to receive their certificates.

This graduation wasn't just the end of a three-month course; it was the launching pad for 20 young lives in Kenya. Because of you, programs like TUYEP continue to equip emerging leaders with the digital, practical, and spiritual tools to break free from cycles of poverty and transform their communities.
