This past April, Expansion International Africa held its 6th Annual High School Student Scholarship Conference in Kenya. It was the largest conference yet, with 127 scholarship students in attendance. This year’s theme was Prepare for Action, taken from I Peter 1:13-16.
Four amazing servants from the U.S. spoke at this year’s conference. They shared about the importance of being people of character and integrity while living a life set apart for God. Guest speakers from around Kenya shared about important topics such as relationships and peer pressure, self-awareness, stress management and coping with challenges, and self-discipline for academic excellence.
It was a fun time filled with singing, dancing, devotions, teaching, and games. The students were open and eager to learn, grow, and make new friendships. “It has been encouraging to see the young people in the scholarship conference grow each year in confidence regarding who God has called them to be and the dreams He has placed in their hearts. We are so excited to see God continue to move in the student’s lives,” shares Danielle Moceri. “Thanks to all of you who sponsor a scholarship student. They look forward to this event every year.”
