In December, our annual Sports Evangelism event brought the Bahati community together for a vibrant day that united young people through sports, and invited them into moments of spiritual growth and genuine connection.
More than 436 youths, both boys and girls ages 18-25, showed up with energy, enthusiasm, and a hunger for community. The turnout alone spoke volumes about the need for positive, youth‑centered activities in the area.
Throughout the day, teams competed in friendly, well‑coordinated soccer matches led by coaches and referees who emphasized discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship. But the impact went far beyond the field. Between games, youth gathered for evangelism sessions where they heard messages of hope, purpose, integrity, and Christ‑centered living. Many took time to reflect on their faith, their choices, and the kind of future they want to build. Prayers were offered for the youth, their families, and the wider community.
This event reminded us that sports remain one of our strongest tools for youth ministry, helping us build trust, connect, and share the love of Jesus in a natural and meaningful way. We’re eager to keep growing this program in the years to come. Thank you for standing with us, your support makes programs like Sports Evangelism possible.
