Introducing the Alumni Program: A New Chapter of Impact

On April 23, 2026, the brand-new Alumni Program was officially launched! Eighty alumni gathered from various Expansion International sponsored programs - university students, graduates, and young professionals, to celebrate their shared journey and step into a new season of purpose and giving back.

For years, the High School Sponsorship Program has equipped students from underserved communities with education, mentorship, and spiritual grounding. Now, those same students are returning as leaders, ready to invest their gifts into the next generation. The day was filled with gratitude, reflection, and vision. Alumni shared powerful testimonies of transformation, stories of perseverance, faith, and opportunity that turned hardship into hope. 

Guest speaker, Brother Curtis Anderson, reminded alumni that their education and experiences are entrusted resources meant to be shared. “To whom much is given, much is expected,” he said, calling them to steward their talents faithfully and invest in others.

Expansion International’s President, Evans Baiya, echoed that message, urging alumni to begin where they are, serving faithfully in small ways that lead to greater impact. He cast a vision for a thriving alumni network that mentors current students, supports community initiatives, and strengthens Expansion International’s mission of transformation.

By the end of the day, the Alumni Program stood as a living testament to Expansion International’s mission: transforming lives through the love of Jesus Christ. The alumni’s enthusiasm and commitment marked the start of a movement that will continue multiplying hope, leadership, and faith across Kenya.

The launch was followed by the first alumni training session, led by Crown Financial Ministries, focusing on smart, faith‑based financial management. Twenty participants, including 13 alumni, Expansion International staff, and TUYEP coordinators, gathered to learn practical, biblical principles for stewardship. Though the group was small, the vision is big: each attendee will carry these lessons back to their families and communities, multiplying knowledge and creating a ripple effect of transformation.

Overall, the Alumni Program Launch was a huge success, marking the beginning of a new chapter of impact and connection. We’re excited to see how far this program will go and how many lives will be transformed through the faith, leadership, and generosity of Expansion International alumni.
