2026 Mid-Year Update: Transformed by Your Generosity

Greetings,

Doesn’t it seem that we just welcomed 2026? Yet here we are at the halfway point of the year already. As we reflect on the first six months, we are filled with gratitude for you. Your faithful support continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals and communities across Kenya.

Because of you, consistent healthcare remains available in five communities, and 227 students are regularly attending high school across all eight communities we serve. This year also marks our 23rd year of leading volunteer teams to Kenya for medical and children’s outreaches, a commitment that began long before we were known as Expansion International.

The impact of your generosity continues to grow. Our Youth Empowerment Program, TUYEP, launched in 2022, has already provided life-skills training and spiritual mentorship to 50 students this year, alone. Our annual student leadership conference welcomed a record number of students, along with many alumni who returned to encourage the next generation. Most importantly, 30 young people gave their lives to Jesus Christ during the gathering.

One of the most exciting developments this year is the water progress in Kasten. Funding has been sent to drill a borehole that will bring clean water to approximately 420 households across 11 communities. That’s nearly 2,000 people who will have a consistent source of water! This has the potential to transform daily life at the most fundamental level. Where there is water, there is life, and Kasten now stands on the threshold of experiencing both renewed opportunity and abundant hope.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Taste of Kenya event in May. We are especially grateful to our volunteers, sponsors, and donors whose generosity helped make the event such a success. It truly does take a village.

Finally, I want to thank our dedicated staff and leadership team in Kenya. Their unwavering commitment ensures that Christ remains at the center of every program we support. Through their faithful service, nearly 2,000 people have heard the life-changing message of Jesus Christ so far this year. We are deeply grateful for all they do to share God's love in practical and meaningful ways.

The rest of this year is full of impactful projects waiting for the support that will help bring them to life.

• The Kasten Water Project is underway, bringing clean water to thousands of people.

• Our Medical Clinics need $15,150 to remain fully operational through the end of the year.

• Ten university students require just $400 each to register for their 2027 classes.

• The TUYEP Youth Empowerment Program needs $3,900 to be fully funded for the year.

• The new Alumni Program requires $2,150 to provide essential support to graduates.

• Beekeeping and other income‑generating initiatives need just $600 to reach full funding.

• Sports Evangelism Outreach needs $5,700 to continue reaching youth and communities.
