Esther Kabeeria joined Expansion International Africa this year to oversee the launch of the Tujijenge Youth Empowerment Program (TUYEP) in Subukia. She loves to inspire and empower children and youth. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to oversee this exciting new program!
In March of this year Esther, her husband, and her baby took a leap of faith and moved from an urban area to the rural community of Subukia for this role. It has been a learning curve but it has given her great joy as it has allowed her to be in direct contact with beneficiaries of Expansion International Africa.
“The most impactful moments thus far have been seeing young people take responsibility, discover their purpose, learn different skills, and be empowered to pursue their passion and careers. I believe promoting knowledge and skills among young people is important because they are assets and change agents in the community and the country. Without a doubt, this is a vital investment to help shape their future.”
