This past Saturday, Team Pamoja took the greenbelt by storm for the work of Expansion International in Kenya. Locals and even friends from out of state came together to make an impact by participating in the Famous Idaho Potato Half-Marathon hosted by the YMCA.
The team gathered for a pre-race dinner of pasta and prayer Friday night, then woke up bright and early Saturday to complete 13.1 miles as promised to friends and family who donated to each participant. After training, fundraising, and crossing the finish line, Team Pamoja raised a grand total of $15,801 to help their friends in Kenya! Way to go, Team Pamoja!
We celebrate each and every participant for their investment of time, training, and spreading the word about the good work of Expansion with friends and family. We also want to thank our fantastic business sponsors, D1 Training, ICCU, ECS Boise, and Eagle Physical Therapy! Together, they made a difference in many people’s lives in Kenya.
After over a decade of involvement with Expansion International, Randy Langley has personally witnessed the transformative impact of this work. “Expansion International walked a journey with these amazing people [in Kenya], advocated on their behalf, and together came up with solutions that are transformational!”
Randy Langley and Jenny Chan from Eagle PT ran with Team Pamoja this past Saturday, conquering a half marathon for Kenya. Not only that, Eagle PT matched every donation given on their fundraising page, doubling their impact! Randy was thrilled to rally his staff and patients around this cause.
Thank you, Randy, Jenny, and the Eagle PT family; you are amazing!
