The 2026 Form Four Mentorship Forums brought together students finishing high school this year alongside recent graduates from the past three years, creating a supportive space for young people navigating the transition into their next chapter. This annual initiative is designed to walk with youth at a pivotal moment, helping them gain clarity, confidence, and direction as they step from high school into adulthood.

Attendance grew significantly compared to last year with 237 youth in attendance, a clear sign that these forums are becoming a trusted and valued resource within our communities.

Supporting Students at a Critical Crossroads

The transition after high school can feel overwhelming for many young people. Each gathering met students where they are academically, emotionally, and spiritually while equipping them for the decisions that shape their next chapter in life.

The 2026 forums centered on five core themes that addressed both practical and personal challenges that students face after high school:

  • Career guidance - Students explored how to align their strengths, interests, and personality with real-world opportunities. Facilitators encouraged long-term vision, helping youth think beyond immediate peer pressure.

  • Understanding life beyond exam scores - Participants were reminded that grades do not define them. Conversations focused on resilience, developing a mindset of continued growth, and recognizing the many opportunities available at every academic level.

  • Choosing courses and institutions - Practical guidance helped students navigate college and university placement, comparing universities and technical/vocational institutions, understanding accreditation, and choosing courses that match both passion and market demand.

  • Exploring alternative pathways - Students learned that university is not the only route to success. They were introduced to vocational training, entrepreneurship, digital skills, short professional courses, and apprenticeships.

  • Life skills and decision making in adulthood - Sessions emphasized personal responsibility, financial discipline, peer pressure management, purpose-driven living, and integrity; foundational skills that shape adulthood far beyond academics.

Together, these themes created a holistic experience that not only informed students but empowered them to step into their future with confidence and hope.

Impact Taking Root

Across all locations, students expressed renewed confidence and clarity about their next steps. Key outcomes included:

  • Greater understanding of available pathways after high school

  • Reduced anxiety around academic performance

  • Increased openness to vocational and alternative opportunities

  • Stronger motivation to pursue further education or skills training

  • Encouragement for students who previously felt “left behind”

The high level of participation in Q&A sessions showed just how eager these young people are to make informed, thoughtful decisions about their future.

The 2026 Form Four Mentorship Forums were a meaningful success, reaching more students, deepening impact, and strengthening trust within our communities. As young people step into adulthood, these forums continue to serve as a vital bridge, offering guidance, confidence, and hope.
