March 21st, is Kenya's National Day of Prayer. We believe that prayer is always instrumental, but especially important during these unprecedented times. As an organization, we will be joining our Kenyan brothers and sisters tomorrow in prayer to pray through the following requests.
An end of Covid-19's spread. No infections in the southern hemisphere.
Protection for small business owners and hourly wage earners in our community
Freedom from fear of the future
For one in our E.I. family who is battling stage 4 cancer -- Let's lift them up as they begin chemo and adrenal meds and believe God for complete and total healing. Let us all lift up their family and loved ones
For peace and wisdom to know how to navigate during this time
For God's people to become voices of hope and help within each community
For our homeless and vulnerable communities in the valley to receive all they need for healthy living
An arresting of the spread of Covid-19 in Kenya
Protection for our healthcare workers, grocery store workers and their families
Funding for those being laid off and those without a job
E.I.'s family and supporters to be safe and cared for during this time.
For creative ways to participate in community during this time of social distancing
For E.I.'s board and staff and their family's health and protection.
For families during this time who are quarantined at home with their children or facing financial difficulties.
For funding to come into E.I. so we can continue the work of the ministry. Particularly funding for our daily operations in Kenya and the U.S. as well as operations of the Mercy Medical Clinic.
Favor as we move the dates of our spring events; including favor with the Galaxy Event Center's calendar for our Build Hope Dinner in the Fall and favor with our Student Leadership Conference to be held in August
Wisdom regarding future medical mission trips during Covid-19
Effective and creative ways of communicating with our E.I. family of supporters during this time
A lead coordinator for the 2MS resale event in September
For a grant to sink a well in Bahati and for funding for 20 more home tanks in Subukia
For the pump to be fixed in Subukia
That Kenyan and Treasure Valley schools will be able to safely resume soon
Creativity for our videographer as she prepares key communication pieces for us
Being able to send $10,000 for tanks to Subukia before the April rains
Bahati's mobile nurse program is funded for the year
Bahati's baby care program is funded for the year
Hosanna Children's home received funding for repairs
We have 8 university student sponsorships promised
The high school mentorship program was funded
Our talented videographer who is producing key communication pieces for us
