Schools Are Open!
In Kenya all students from kindergarten through university have returned to school this month, and we are thankful to hear they are reporting back healthy. They’ve made it through a very difficult year and we’re so proud of them. Many did their best to continue learning remotely due to the threat of disease, yet some had difficulties brought on by social isolation. The EIA team’s quick pivot of initiating home visits, extra-curricular sports events, and virtual student conferences provided a sense of community and encouragement during a trying year.
